  1. You need 1/2 packet of organic india channa.
  2. Provide 1 tsp of garam masala.
  3. Use 1 tsp of dhaniya powder.
  4. Take 1-2 pieces of kala amla.
  5. Prepare 1 tsp of lal mirch powder.
  6. Use 1 tsp of chole masala.
  7. Use 1 tsp of dal masala.
  8. Get 1 tsp of kala masala (chandni chowk).
  9. Get 4 of finely chopped onions.

Steps to make Chole and dal ke poori:

  1. Keep the chole in warm water for about 4-5 hours and then pressure cook them in the cooker with 1 tsp of salt and kala amla for the colour. Once done, don’t throw the excess water. Keep it aside..
  2. Heat a wok/kadhai add 2 tsp ghee and let it get hot. Once done, add the onions and let it cook for about 5-7 mins till the colour changes to golden brown. Add all the masalas except the kala masala. And let the flavour set in. To this add 1 tsp amchur.
  3. Once the masala is ready, add the chole with water into the wok and cover it on top with a lid. At this point, you can add more kala amla in a strainer if you want it to be darker. Keep seeing and moving it with a karchi and once the gravy is thick, do the final step..
  4. Finally, take a small pan, add 1 tsp of ghee + 1/2 tsp of dal masala + 1/2 tsp dhaniya powder +1 tsp kala masala. Turn off the gas and add this tadka in the chole and mix well. Serve it hot!.
